Hendriks expands management team with experienced Operations Director

Jacob Mulder – Betriebsleiter Hendriks Formwork Solutions

The Hendriks Group is proud to welcome Jacob Mulder as its new Chief Operating Officer, who officially joined the company's management team on 1 April 2024. This strategic move marks a new era of innovation, growth and commitment to quality for the Hendriks companies.

"It is a privilege to be part of this family business that is known for its unique products, dedication to quality and sense of community," says Mulder in an interview.

A future with innovation

The Hendriks Group wants to continue to make a difference by supplying top-quality products and high-grade engineering, not only in the Netherlands but also abroad. In addition, Hendriks is preparing for a future full of technological advances. With a strong focus on innovation, the Hendriks Group is fully committed to a new phase of growth and development.

Years of experience

This means that the company is ready for the next step: a new Operations Director. Hendriks is therefore very pleased with the appointment. With 24 years of experience in the construction industry, he has made an impression both nationally and internationally.

The list of large and complex projects is long, but Mulder is most proud of his involvement in the construction of several offices on Palm Jebel Ali in Dubai, SGX Centre Two tower in Singapore and 10 residential towers on London City Island in England. But even in the Netherlands, Mulder cannot say enough about the challenges posed by the P+R Transferium Westraven in Utrecht, the kilometre-long boulevard in Scheveningen and two hospitals (the Erasmus Hospital in Rotterdam and Sint Antonius in Nieuwegein) that were constructed at breakneck speed.

Family atmosphere

The first few days at Hendriks feel like coming home. "I have a very positive impression of the company and the passion that everyone has," says Mulder. The introductory interviews also made a big impression on Mulder. "How many people I have spoken to who started at Hendriks straight from school and have always remained loyal. Forty or fifty years of service is more the norm than the exception." "My time at Hurks, which was also a family business, was very enjoyable, but this is definitely the next level," jokes Mulder. I look forward to contributing to the further growth of Hendriks," says Mulder.

Optimisation and growth

As operational director, Mulder will be responsible for the overall operational management of the company, including daily activities, processes, working methods and systems. He will play a key role in developing and optimally and efficiently implementing business strategies and goals. "Hendriks has a rock-solid foundation," emphasises Managing Director Philip Winckel. "This ensures enormous demand for our product, both in the Netherlands and far beyond. We are currently working on moulds that will be shipped to Suriname, and in a few weeks our engineers will be boarding a plane to assemble them. In addition, our engineers are busy constructing tunnel formwork in Curaçao. The appointment of Jacob Mulder will enable our organisation to manage these kinds of challenging projects as efficiently as possible. Jacob Mulder has a proven track record of success and I am confident that he can take Hendriks to the next level."
